An ambassador from Islamabad visited our clinic in August, 2017 regarding his recurring issues for last six months. He presented with the following symptoms: pain in teeth, urge of urination at midnight daily, afternoon headaches, vertigo after long hours of desk work, sluggish digestion, lethargy, throat issues, and dryness. Given his european background, the symptoms used to get worse in cold weather. He had these symptoms at low scale for five years but the severity was brought on by work stress during 2016.

After frequent visits to dentist, the pain wasn’t relieved and was always sent home with painkillers and mouth wash. The painkillers wreak havoc on his digestion and that’s when the ball started rolling. Multiple visits to doctors, he started taking anti-anxiety medication and different things for toothache but it wasn’t really helping any of this symptoms.

After stumbling upon one of the articles on facebook, he contacted and booked the appointment. On the day, he entered the clinic and his first question was “will I stay forever on the painkillers and a different pill for every symptom because that’s what I am told?”. I began taking his thorough clinical history and then started to answer dozens of queries related to his illness. Some tests were recommended to rule out serious diseases and to get specific with the diagnosis. The test results led to the final diagnosis of gum disease that was related to Gastroparesis which also affected the kidneys. There wasn’t any problem with his teeth at all. Gastroparesis used to result in fermentation, malabsorption of nutrients, and also lowered the immunity and contributed to some of his allergies. The gum disease was worsening due to all this going in the body.

I started treating him with homeopathic remedies, created a specific diet protocol, and designed exercises. After 3 months of regular treatment and proper case monitoring, the patient reported back improvement in all his symptoms. The gum pain was almost gone and the digestion was better. His last update was after 6 months of treatment when he reported free of all pains and irritable symptoms. At this point, patient was told to stay away from food triggers and keep himself active as stress and desk job added a lot to his disease.
